Responsibilities

General Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
  • Knowledgeable in all areas of the kitchen and to fill in where needed.
  • Knowledgeable in classic and modern cooking methods and techniques.
  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for their station, and to be ready for service in a promptly manner. 
  • Comply with and enforces all safety and health department procedures as well as Delfina and/or departmental policies/procedures.  Comply with all state and federal laws.
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English language with ability to print legibly and/or in the primary language of the property

-Must be a team player
-Must be able to multi-task

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift.
  • Requires mobility and prolonged standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

Qualification Standards:

Education: High school or equivalent education preferred.

Experience:  2 to 3 years previous experience as a cook in a hotel.

Licenses or Certificates: Food Handler Certification preferred

Grooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)
